Ex Ryanair Aircraft
Take a look at this shot, the very first Ryanair 737-800 (EI-CSA) now in Varig service:

The ex EI-CJD (B737-204 msn 22966) in eircell colors (blue and mauve) is still parked at Dublin Airport, as a fire trainer I am told. I have seen it last week.
It was parked on the south side, not where it lies on the pic below :

Re: Ex Ryanair Aircraft
The -200 had quite a few remarkable c/s :
- EI-CNT : Vodaphone, white with red tail
- EI-CJE : Jaguar silver and black with a jaguar
- EI-CKS : celebrated Valentine's day
- EI-CJC : Hertz, yellow
- EI-CNY : dark red with white nose : Kilkenny, the cream of Irish beer
- EI-CNT : white, red tail and belly : The Sun (newspaper)
- EI-CNX : mainly white, normal tail, Tipperary Crystal
It was quite spectacular, it's a pity they have discontinued that custom !
Now, with the -800, there is just EI-DCL in Boeing Dreamliner colors (I have seen it at STN last week, it has, at the moment, an all-white radome not in the exact colors of the fuselage)

Re: Ex Ryanair Aircraft
There are also some other special -800's, like 'Pride of Scotland', 'Frankfurt-Hahn', 'Girona-Costa Brava' (or something like that), 'Up Munster' (footballclub) and a few others but I don't know exactly wich.

Re: Ex Ryanair Aircraft
We got EI-CSF a couple of months ago, it had the new livery and everything but the flight deck and the inside revealed the age, it has now gone to CanJet of Canada, picture can be seen here -> http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1340068&size=L&width=1200&height=812&sok=&photo_nr=

Re: Ex Ryanair Aircraft
Thank you! I am quite amazed at the rate that FR takes delivery of it's new aircraft. Flew with EI-DYF yesterday GSE-STN, loved the new-plane smell.
I see FR planes every day at work and more and more of these planes are the newer ones, the older EI-CS... ones are more rare, still remember the EI-CSA.
EI-DCL is still the favourite, hope they do something about the white radome...

In "Airliner World" for March 2011, page 74 : a picture of B-5575 departing Dublin on December 24, 2011, destined for Chinese carrier OK Air.
The aircraft is ex-Ryanair EI-DAT.

Re: Ex Ryanair Aircraft
According to
http://www.jethros.org.uk/fleets/fleet_listings/ryanair_on_order.htm
the aircraft that should have been EI-ESL, M, N, O and P and delivered to Ryanair this year will go to Avolon.
"Avolon provides aircraft leasing and management services to airlines and aircraft investors worldwide".
http://www.avolon.aero/index.htm
It could be RYR selling them to Avalon and then leasing them back ?

Re: Ex Ryanair Aircraft
I don't think so. When you look to the site of Avolon and Clients, you don't see Ryanair.
http://www.avolon.aero/ourclients.php
Don't forget FR could buy these on such interesting conditions, that it's possible to sell them very quickly to other companies - even without using them.

Re: Ex Ryanair Aircraft
Seems it is a sale and lease back :
http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/finance/2011/0926/1224304754614.html
IRISH AIRCRAFT leasing group Avolon will today announce significant sale and leaseback deals with Ryanair and AirAsia that will see it deliver nine planes to the low-cost airlines by early 2012.
Avolon has agreed to lease five Boeing 737-800s to Ryanair and four Airbus A320s to AirAsia. These form part of sale and leaseback deals with the airlines.
Seven of the planes will be delivered to the airlines this week – including the five to Ryanair – with the other two early next year.
Avolon has signed seven-year lease agreements with Ryanair while the AirAsia deals will have a 12-year duration
