Ryanair to start operations at Comiso Airport (Sicily)?
When surfing on Wikipedia, I found something interesting: "Ryanair has recently expressed interest in starting a service to (Charleroi), in Belgium." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comiso_Airport) It's about the new to build airport of Comiso (LICB/CIY), Sicily, Italy. The airport will have a 2460m / 8070ft long runway.

Comiso is a new airport in the south-east corner of the island, in the province of Ragusa.

The other Sicilian airports are : Palermo and Trapani in the north-west; Catania about midway of the East coast.
At the moment, Ryanair has a base in Trapani and flies also to Palermo. Flights to Comiso would thus serve the other side of Sicily.
