Ryanair still talks to Bratislava about new base

Ryanair is still talking with Bratislava Airport to open a new base. But they are also talking to other Airports in Central/Eastern europe.

Well, if one may believe in

The launch of new flights from Bratislava
will depend on where the new bases are set up. If a base is established
in Poland, it is unlikely there would be new flights from Bratislava.
But if Ryanair decided to set up a base in Slovakia, Ryanair might
increase the number of destinations it offers from Bratislava to 20 or
more.

Bratislava might be in trouble as Kraków is thinking hard about get some airline's base there. But it may mean nothing as for example Alghero and Cagliari bases has been opened last time in the same month. Also after many rumours in polish media few carriers has landed with new destinations in Kraków, but none has based there. Chef of this airport said, that uncovered Rome destination is main case in talkings with airlines about base, but last time LOT has announced it's opening of this route.
So, many excluding itself rumours and no facts till day. We'll see :-)

Bratislava has an advantage because of it's location (1 hour from vienna). Another thing is that there is only SkyEurope and Ryanair flying more then 3-4 routes from Bratislava, so imho Ryanair could add some flights (Eindhoven, Aarhus, Bremen, Cagliari, etc. )).

Bratislave Eindhoven would be a very welcome Destination. Hope that Ryanair will add a base there, near to vienna. does anyone know if Eindhoven will be a base

my hope rests in Lelystad next year ...Don't forget that EIN is very near NRN. Not that it is impossible that EIN would be a base but it's more unlikely.

Some mentioned on polish aviation forum that Wizz is interesting to open 8-10 flights from Bratislava. First one is BTS-FCO already added. It will be a plane flying from Cluj but after a while there is no precise information from booking system - that's why some thinks it'd be a new base. Good system to take over falling Sky Europe's passengers (especially after establishing a base in Prague)

Anyway i hope that SkyEurope won't fall. However any other airlines are welcomed here :-P. I just wonder why has WizzAir announced only one flight from Bratislava yet.. According to this there should be also a connection to Turkey > Bratislava-Antalya

If you're looking on theairdb portal - there are large mistake, because according to them WZZ is flying from Antalya to every other airport in their network.
About FCO only - I remember they've announced PRG as another base. Suddenly just a few connections appears with many changes on their entire network (so callaed "W routes system") and then "just arrived planes" has been placed in Prague. Today this base has much more destinations and it's network looks much more interesting :-)
