Basel : 6 routes closed
Due to a dissent over the costs at Basel airport, 6 routes will be closed from 2nd december : Basel to Alicante, Cagliari, Stansted, Marseille, Porto and Stockholm.

Porto - Basileia closure
With the closure of this route, I suggest it would be a great alternative to open the route Porto - Rome Ciampino ... this 2 big cities deserve to be connected

Re: Basel : 6 routes closed
I would love a Porto-Rome route. Rome is a very underserved and expensive destination from Porto (only served by TAP) and Basel is very well served by Easyjet. But there is the lack of slots in Ciampino. Although, I read in a Spanish forum that Ryanair reduced the frequencies between Compostela and Rome.

RE:
I agree that Rome is expensive, and that ciampino is colapsing, but this a very interesting market, it's a great city to work in lots of things, to study, to visit ...
...and honestely why does Ryanair invest so much in domestic flights, if this type of passengers get their travel most of the times for free or at 1 euro and they don't buy anything in the plane? And the worst they delay all the flights, complaining, bringing huge bags!!!
