"Only 1 left"
Just been shuffling around the Ryanair.com. Put in a search return flight DUB-MAD, 16 to 28 April, and came across something I've not seen before.. Under the outbound flight for 16 April, it has the above phrase "Only 1 left". The price was not especially cheap, it was €35.99+€5 booking but no taxes.
Anybody hazard a guess at what this means when it is translated from Ryanair-speak to passenger-speak. I'm sure this flight is not fully booked, 77 days ahead!

Re: "Only 1 left"
the numbers of free seats available are not that reliable...I've experienced that by booking a flight for 2!

Re: "Only 1 left"
It's supposed to be the number of remaining tickets at that price.

Yes, I think so - if you want the seat at that price, book it at once, the next ones will be more expensive ...

Yes, I think it's "remaining seats at that price" but translating Ryanair-speak it could mean that REMAINING SEATS will be be BOTH DEARER & CHEAPER. Anyway I will be keeping an eye on it, and I will buy at a total return price of less than €40

Re: "Only 1 left"
As an experiment I toyed with the booking system and can confirm that it is the number of seats left at that price and not the number of seats left on the aircraft.
For this purpose I selected an EDI - DUB flight on the 12th March 2010, FR819, 19.15 - 20.15 and came up with the following results by changing the number of passengers supposedly flying on this flight.
It said 1 left at this price which was £42.74 GBP
My results were the following:-
£42.74 GBP each (only 1 left) 1 passenger
£59.99 GBP each for booking if 2-5 passengers travelling
£79.99 GBP each for booking if 6-9 passengers travelling
£99.99 GBP each for booking if 10-11 passengers travelling
£139.99 GBP each for booking if 12-14 passengers travelling
£179.99 GBP each for booking if 15-25 passengers travelling
(This is the maximum amount of seats that can be booked on the website, for example it won't allow you to book 15 adults and 11 children - max would be 15 adults and 10 children or 25 adults)
This is obviously proof that the more people that book on a specific flight, then the higher the price goes.
I wonder then for example when the £1 GBP flights sale comes out, how many £1 GBP flights are actually assigned to each aircraft!
