20 EUR/bag in summer

Ryanair announces that the cost of a checked bag will be increased to 20 euros for flights in July and August, instead of 15 euros.

i am live on an Irish radio station http://www.countrymix.ie/on-air/presenters/lynsey-dolan on Thurs 10.25am to talk about this news. the radio station people say it is a 'rip-off'. what can i say on the radio to convince the public otherwise?

Well, between you and me, I do think it is a rip-off !

It might be no problem for people starting their travel at large base. But for people flying from small airports with as small as 3-6 connections this increase will be doubled (because of stopover)...
That's why I prefer Wizz Air last time - no internet check-in fee at all, they've increase the minimum wage of luggage up to 32 kgs, and cheaper prices on most routes - especially from my city :-)
