There's always a sale/special offer on, which usually discounts flights 2-5 months in advance of travel

best season is 'winter' time eg Oct, Nov or Feb, March i think
avoid easter in April and Christmas in Dec and avoid holiday months like June, July and Aug

I would recommend to buy good tickets about 2 months in advance instead of 5 since it is too early which I can say..
