Ryanair's latest trick
After my latest Ryanair booking, I discovered something rather unpleasant. I booked a flight for 3 people from Charleroi to Marrakesh for a total price of € 379 and some change. After entering the payment details of my prepaid master card (which has GBP as standard currency), I noticed that Ryanair took GBP 352,02 from my card, which is £ 20 more than the official exchange rate. They use a ridiculous currency rate for transactions in euro with GBP cards. In my honest opinion, this is theft. If I would have paid with a normal credit card, the 3x2x5 euros handling costs would have been almost as expensive.
So watch out if you pay large amounts with your "handling fee free" prepay Master Card!

Re: Ryanair's latest trick
Yeah, i expierienced the same, they have their exange rate and if you uncheck the box you can have a different exangerate. I unchecked this box for my last booking an the result was as following:
price: 20€
ryanair would charge me 18,70 Pound with their exangerate
after unchecking the box 17,84 Pound where used from my masterprepaid...
Saves 1€ at the end, which is 5% of the price.
