Ryanair Plane evacuated in Kerry (KIR)
Ryanair is examining one of its planes that had to be evacuated in Kerry Airport this morning.
The captain of the flight with 160 passengers on board instigated an emergency evacuation of the plane after smoke was detected in the cockpit.
The incident happened at 9.15am after the plane from London Stansted had landed safely.
The smoke was detected as the plane was taxiing from the runway towards its stand and the airport emergency procedures were activated.
The 160 people on board the plane exited via chutes

EI-ENB was the reg. They're looking at the possibility of the cause being de-icing fluid burning somewhere.
Well done to the excellent (as always) crew! Shows the real reason, in case anyone had forgotten, why they're on board - pax safety.

Re: Ryanair Plane evacuated in Kerry (KIR)
About 90 % of the training involves safety procedures for different emergencies, each Cabin crew is assigned a door of which to initiate evacuation procedures depending on the emergency.
But if MOL could had his own way, there would probably just be 1 cabin crew per 189 passengers rather than the required 4.
But all of the training conducted by ryanair instructors is very good, if not better than some airlines. It is a highly regulated industry and the airlines have to comply with air safety and aircraft manufacturer requirements in order to operate with a license.
Ryanair could not afford to compensate passengers lost and heavy fines due to a lousy evacuation plan on an engulfed 737-8AS.
Good and strict safety is what allows ryanair to operate without problems, delays and unnecessary expense.
