Weighing scales at Valencia? Empty Weighing scales at Valencia?

They tell me that weighing scales are used as well as a measuring box at the gate in Valencia. Is this true?

It is a miracle this does not happen at every airport now.... and i am sure it will be introduced and rightly so..... 10kgs means 10kgs... less weight lower fares.
