Room for hand luggage

More and more passengers take a hand luggage with them aboard, and a lot of them are rather large and heavy (I mean : the luggage, of course ! Although some pax are oversized ...)).
It can be difficult for the last (non-priority) passengers to find a place overhead where to put their luggage, sometimes rather far away from their seat, which causes jams in the aisle (and the same on arrival).
The crew of my tuesday flight actually asked the passengers with a small hand luggage to put it under the seat in front of them, in order to free the holds for the big ones ... not a bad idea, I think.
At some airports, they seriously check the dimensions and weight of hand luggage. At other airports, they just don't care, although some hand luggage are obviously too much ...

Many people are travelling with bags that are too big!

They don't respect the 55x40x20 cm rule.

I think they must be set off the plane and take the next flight!
