Milano - Alicante or Trieste - Trapani
Hey guys!
I have a "strategic" question for you! By budget is 100€.
I'm deciding between:
Milano - Alicante (27/10/2011)
Alicante - Milano (01/11/2011)
Current cost: 144€ (12.oct 2010)
and
Trieste - Trapani (27/10/2011)
Trapani - Trieste (02/11/2011)
Current cost: 96€ (12.oct 2010)
But I would really prefer Alicante than Trapani. Trapani is the second option.
So here is the question:
What's the possibility, that the price for Alicante will drop (below 100€)? And how soon?
What's the possibility, that the price for Trapani will rise? (and latter drop?)
Thank you very much for your answers!

Re: Milano - Alicante or Trieste - Trapani
as prices normaly don't drop during the last 14 days befor take off it is unlikely that allicante will become cheaper than 100€. otherwise it's far more likely that trapani will rise during the next days than drop anyway, both prices are very expensive

I agree with Gruenmann, it is very unlikely that those prices will go down and quite likely that they'll rise.
Besides, tuesday 1st November is a national holiday in Italy (and many others european countries). Which means that more people are on the move at that time.

Thank you for your answers!
But in general:
What about the last minute? Are there no cheap tickets in order to "fill" the lasts seats?
Otherwise, Yeah I know about the holiday, but the problem is, that my holidays are at that time and I cant help it (ok, i could buy the ticked 3 months ago )
Thanks for the answers!

I am afraid there are none; the last minute tickets usually are most expensive.

absolutly correct, that's what i found out in my bachelor thesis as well you defently will not find find a significant price drop during the last days befor the flight. on the other hand, don't book 3 month in advance, that is to early! book one or two month ahead for the best price. or pray
