Weighing hand luggage

Hi all

Have they started weighing hand luggage yet? (specifically at Birmingham International and Feurteventura)

Although my case fits the dimensions it`s about 1 kg over - caused by my netbook computer which ideally I`d like to take.

Finally that extra security on the flight search, what a pain. It could be just one hurdle to many...

In Lanzarote last month they only asked me to fit my bag in the size checker, no weight check. Last my bag was weighed was in Bergamo-Milan airport where everyone with a large bag had to weigh it near their security check area

I flew from egbb Birmingham a few months ago .. No never weighed my hand luggage- I have never been asked to weigh my hand luggage at any airport to-date and i have visited many different airports in many countries but this can happen anytime anywhere i guess.

i had to weighed it once at hahn... but I have the feeling, that the size restriction get's controlled more often and harder then in previous years!
