“As previously guided, Ryanair’s adjusted February 2013 traffic fell by 3% over February 2012 as we grounded up to 80 aircraft. The leap year of February 2012 had 29 days and accounted for a further 3% drop. However, Ryanair’s load factor increased by 1% and we delivered another record 12-month traffic as almost 80m passengers chose one of Ryanair’s ultra-low fares since February 2012.”
February 2012 : 4,47 million pax
February 2013 : 4,20 million pax
Calculation :
4,47 x 28/29 = 4,32 million pax in 2 Feb 2012, had it had 28 days (instead of 29 actually)
4,20 : 4,32/100 = 97%
Thus traffic drop of 3% on adjusted 2012 ....

Re: Feb 2013 : traffic down 3%
It will be hard for FR to grow, when no new planes are arriving, and more and more planes are getting older (more maintenance), 16 planes more than 9 years old and the average age is growing day by day!
