The last controversial Ryanair pub is Italian. Ryanair took a recent and authentic photo of an Italian minister, Umberto Bosssi, making a shocking gesture towards the Italian national anthem - and gave it jokingly another meaning :

(Minister Bossi to the Italian passengers :
The Government :
- supports the high fares of Alitalia
- supports the frequent strikes of Alitalia
- couldn't care less about the Italian passengers)

The Italian minister of transport, an Altero Matteoli, reproved the usage of the picture by FR : "That foreign airline, which uses our airports and our aerial territory, shoud offer excuses, not only to minister Bossi, but also to all Italians".

Of course, he got a cutting answer from Ryanair :
Sig. Matteoli, as Italy's Transport Minister, shoud know that Ryanair is not a foreign airline that is a guest in Italy's skies or at Italy's airports.
Ryanair is an European airline with exactly the same rights at all European airports and in European skies as Alitalia.
