The end of the budget airline business in Europe ...
A rather worrying article in the press today. I hope it's not true ....

Re: The end of the budget airline business in Europe ...
I would not say that this article is disturbing - rather, it is a lot of bullshit !
The writer of this article shows himself to be full of hate towards Ryanair and Michaêl O'Leary and, on the whole, submitting rather stupid arguments. He needs to be reminded that a good analysis is not made by using just the bowels, but with the brain, if he has any - which quite a few would very much doubt after reading it.
A few citations showing what he is worth :
- the "bumptious chief executive of Ryanair" - (he is not alone on the board)
- "Spanish Armada and Royal Navy" banding together against him (FR does not go to Heathrow, thanks heaven, and is already at Madrid)
- RYR "offering zero-service to customers" - pure calomny.
- "the old business model - high cost, high fares, route monopôlies - is now resurgent" (this is known as "wishful thinking")
- "For journeys of 600 miles (nearly 1000 km) or less, a plane cannot compete with high speed trains" (pure stupidity)
- "Take the train or stay at home !" - no comment ...
Let's don't worry about all that crap.
Financial analysts forecasts usually are not worth the paper on which they are written. If somebody could predict what is about to happen, he would keep it to himself and make a gigantic fortune on the quiet !
