RYR to primary airports

We’ve all seen how Ryanair is becoming more customer friendly, but the changes run deeper than that. The airline is amending its original business model to adapt to the evolving market place and react to the finer line being drawn between LCCs and legacy carriers.
“We could see a new pattern emerging of Ryanair moving to more primary airports within Europe. In Scotland, Ryanair already operates from Edinburgh and Prestwick. Could we see Ryanair move into Frankfurt Airport next, alongside its operation at Frankfurt Hahn? Other European holiday markets such as Cyprus, Tunisia and Egypt are still relatively untouched by LCCs and may offer significant opportunities. Whether Ryanair pursues these opportunities remains to be seen.”

It looks like a trend.   Today they announced they will now fly from Glasgow International

I cross my fingers for Stockholm Arlanda! Rumours in Sweden say they've been in discussions with Swedavia lately, owner of Stockholm Arlanda. Maybe that's why they've closing so many routes from Stockholm Skavsta since winter 2013.

Ryanair is already flying to Malmö Airport which is owned and operated by Swedavia.

A little bit of me doesn't want RYR to head off to the big airports. I'm a selfish traveller who likes his quiet airports and rapid taxis! Schipol would be a turnaround nightmare.

To be honest , if Ryanair did not fly to the smaller airports I would have missed out on some very nice places, I've found flying into the out back a great experience, but RYR flying into major airports can only be good for all.. more choices too.

Yeah I agree with the more choices. That's partly why fares are on the rise though. Costs are on the up too. I must say that Business plus product looks pretty good though. Long needed
