Ryanair turnaround times
Hello.
It is said Ryanair have a turnaround time of 25 minuets. Which is true but on some flights the turnaround can go to 30 minuets. Also I have seen that when the flight crew change shifts the plane can be on the ground for 50 mins 40 mins or even 80 mins. I would love it if somebody could tell my why this is? and if you can predict (at airports like Stansted. With many based aircraft) where it will go next when the aircraft is on the ground longer than the 25 minuets.
Thank you.

FR Turnarounds
FR has two types of turnarounds.
Type A
25 minutes
operated only in regional airports.
Type B
35 minutes
operated in bigger airports (MAD, BCN, FCO)
However, they are not strictly followed and many times an aircraft based at CRL with a scheduled 25 minute turnaround will fly to FCO where operating the 25 minute turnaround is very hard. Pilots are usually asked for justification in case of delays but normally the management understands the circumstances and allows extra minutes specially when you have to refuel.
Its very important to note that FR has a very large time margin on flight durations this means as you probably know that they will add extra minutes (about 10 or 15) to ensure the plane is always on time.
Should you have any question, contact me.

Re: Ryanair turnaround times
Hello. Thank you for the info
Stockholm Skavsta → Warsaw (Modlin) 12:00 - 13:30
Warsaw (Modlin) → Stockholm Skavsta 13:55 - 15:30
Stockholm Skavsta → Paris (Beauvais) 17:20 - 19:50
Paris (Beauvais) → Stockholm Skavsta 20:15 - 22:30
When there is a gap between 15:30 and 17:20 flights would that mean that the plane has a crew change or something like that?
thank you

Crew change
Hello FRBristol,
I asked crew based in CRL and in MAD and they told me that the same turnaround time applies whene there is a crew change, normally two crews a day. So its probably not that reason.
But as far as I know, perhaps that aircraft doesn't have a particular tight schedule and they would then add longer turnarounds to have the flights spreaded uniformly.
However, depending on the base, routes and aircraft the turnaround times might varie.
The ones you wrote there seemd ok, 25'.
Regards,
Ryanair Ltd.

Re: Ryanair turnaround times
Yes you are probably right.
If it is the same aircraft then the only possibe reason would be a crew change.
Did you get that infomfrom the Skavsta schedule which is online with 6 based aircraft?

Re: Ryanair turnaround times
Thank you. I worked it out from the schedule. The plane could only do that route as the others were active at that time. I think this was acccurate as I followed the plane on flightradar and it was the same plane.

Re: Ryanair turnaround times
Yes True, I completely forgot about flight radar, you are right. You can track the planes also with the registration number. I've also tracked them but they seem to change base very often and always pass through London or Dublin.
