Re: 737 delivery
A strike is a strike, so there is no production running. Ryanair will not get their aircraft as long as the strike is on. As a result Ryanair has been forced to delay the opening of the Edinburgh base by about 6 weeks until 5th November! Bad news for the scottish passengers!

Ryanair Announces the Postponement of its Seventh Aircraft in Bergamo
Ryanair, Europe’s leading low fares airline, today, 12th September, announced the postponement of the basing of its seventh aircraft at Bergamo by four weeks. The deferral of the aircraft from its original date of the 1st October to a new date of 29th October is as a result of the strike by Boeing employees in Seattle which has resulted in the indefinite delay of the shipment of new aircraft to Ryanair.
Announcing the postponement today, Ryanair’s Deputy Chief Executive, Michael Cawley, said;
“We sincerely regret the postponement of the new aircraft at Bergamo but unfortunately the aircraft which we had reserved for this purpose are now indefinitely delayed due to a strike by Boeing employees. However, we are pleased to confirm that due to the reduction in the number of aircraft flying at our other bases during the winter period, we will be able to secure a further aircraft to facilitate the new date of 29th October for these exciting new routes from Bergamo.
We sincerely apologise to all our passengers for the inconvenience caused by this change in our plans but I hope they understand that it is due to circumstances over which we have no control and we look forward to seeing them on board at our new scheduled date of 29th October.”
