booking question Empty booking question

Post by EMMA Thu 19 Feb 2009 - 13:41

I have booked a return flight but now want to take a different flight on the outward leg of my journey. It is working out cheaper for me to just rebook the outward flight instead of doing a flight change. Am I right in assuming that I can not cancel the outward leg just ignore it.
Also when I don't travel out on my original booking confirmation, can I travel home on my original return flight. I apologise if this seems a stupid question but not sure if I would have to cancel the whole return ticket or just not use the outward flight while using the flight home.

It's not possible to cancel your flight, If it's cheaper to just buy a new ticket than rebooking your flight, just buy a new ticket and travel using that reservation. If you are not intending to use the outward portion of your flight you can still use the return one or vice versa.

But remember! If you purchase a new ticket instead for rebooking your flight you will have to pay for e.g airport check-in fee, bags etc again (not applicable if you are checking-in online.)
