Buying tickets for someone else? Empty Buying tickets for someone else?

Post by bluefishJD Thu 23 Apr 2009 - 12:21

Hi to all - had such great response and clear advice the last time i was on this forum, thought i would post again in hope that someone can help! - please
Basically want to buy tickets for my mother-in-law and her friend so they can come over to ireland on a 10 day holiday - I did the usual put in dates and chose flight but it comes up as the country of departure currency in this case PLN (poland) but what i want to know is can i still pay with my irish visa card / 3v card and it will do currency conversion automatically just say the flights are 1108PLN which is about 260euro if i get a 3v card for this amount (bit more just in case) will it cover and take into account currency conversion and take from the card? - would appreciate advice and many thanks in advance.
Cheers

Yes, my bank account (and it's card) is in Polish Z³oty and it's no problem if I'm buying tickets priced in Euro. They convert the prices automatically in same way as you might pay for some shopping abroad. Sometimes the currency level is older and better for me as they're charging less Zlotych than I'm expecting Very Happy
