What's the controversy?? It's standard policy to display the flag 'the wrong way around' on one side. Many airlines do the same. Unfortunately, because some wise-arse spotted this on a Ryanair aircraft, it's a national crisis and must be posted in the newspapers. (Sigh) Oh well......................

As a matter of fact, on the left side of the aircraft, the flag is correctly set : green-white-orange from left to right.
On the right side, it's (from left to right) : orange-white-green ...

Yeah, that's what the kerfuffle is all about. But it's fairly standard practice in the aviation world. However, just because Ryanair do it there's uproar and the world must come to an end until the tri-colour has been restored to the public's satisfaction.
