Re: BIQ: Biarritz (France)
It seems that the above comment of Ruinair is no more online ?
Anyway, here is my report after a recent visit to Biarritz Anglet Bayonne airport (BIQ), in the south west corner of France.
Airport website :

Runway :
09/27
2250 m
Terminal :
The terminal is modern and spacious.
There are air bridges and Ryanair uses them (at least on the day of my visit); deplaning is thus by the front door only, and if you are in a hurry, you'd better take a seat in the front !
On the ground floor one can find the usual amenities : check-in and drop desks, informations, a newspapers agent, a bar-restaurant, etc.
Also the baggage retrieval, which is in the main hall, and is "open access" for all, like in quite a few French airports. Better be there in time to grab your checked baggage when it arrives, before someone else takes charge of it !
Transportation :
The bus station is in front of the terminal, on the left side when you leave it.
There are buses to Biarritz (3 km to the north-west), Bayonne ( 5 km to the north-east) and other destinations in the region.
