Destinations.
Ryanair ever plans have had to as from ENS/ehtw but that has not continued then unfortunately fly because the field ILS system not have and visiting hours which were not appropriate at the time table. But now EHTW buy state is possible Ryanair nevertheless beautiful buying and converting to their own fly field exactly to their own wishes that beautiful maarja would be but it is an idea

Cool, that´s a good idea. I´m going to communicate that to someone by Ryanair i know how to contact.
But I think there´s to much competition for that region. They have a big base at Dusseldorf Weeze and a big base at Bremen. And how are the train and bus conexions to that airport?

The bus connexion is good.(The bus liner name is Connexion:P)there is no trainstation availible for the airport alone a bus station but Eindhoven Airport have no train station on the airport alone a bus station.

Re: Destinations.
Ryanair is talking to Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport.
Maybe they can also talk with Lelystad?
That airport will be extended, so it can handle a part of Schiphol's flights.

That´s a Good Idea, Lelystad Airport!
I´ve told it to my conexxion by Ryanair (the manager of Ryanair Benelux), and he told me that they´re talking with lelystad airport, but that the infrastructure is not jet good.
They are on it!

Do they have infrastructure in Flevoland?
But serious, they need a longer runway (it's only 1250m), a bigger terminal and a Air Traffic Control
What I would like to see is Eindhoven as a big Ryanair base. Not tomorrow, but today! And mabye Lelystad in a few years.....
We'll see!

Re: Destinations.
The airport's runway will be extended to 2100 meters, and Schiphol want to let fly some low-cost carriers from Lelystad. The expected date that Lelystad will be ready for those airplanes is in 2010.

Sounds good! Where did you get your information from?
And: With infrastructure I think they (Ryanair) mean the runway.

You're right, my mistake....ESFU is Urasa AB, south east of Vaxjo and ESMX is VXO a few kilolmeters NW of the city. So I don't know why Ryanair put's ESFU on thier schedule. Anybody a clue?

Wich destination do you think will become a new Ryanair base? Here's my list:
Alghero (Sardinia)
Riga, Kaunas or Tampere
Venice (Treviso)
Paris (Beauvais)
Porto or Faro
Eindhoven
And an other question: Why does Ryanair fly from/to Verona International and Verona (Brescia)?

About Verona: I think it's because Ryanair took flights over from Alitalia.

I saw this on luchtvaartnieuws.nl:
In English:
Maybe it could become a new Ryanair base/destination?
Derde luchthaven van Rome komt in Viterbo
27-11-2007
In English:
Source: www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/news/?ID=23451The third Roman airport will be build in Viterbo
27-11-2007
ROME - The third airport in Rome will be build in Viterbo, aproximately ninety kilometers north of the city. The new
airport should defecate the current airports Ciampino and Fiumicino, that's wat has been fulfilled from new plans from the Italian government. In 2020 should the airport use up to 6 till 8 million passengers.
The airport should mainly be used for flights from low cost carriers. The first flights will take place in about 3 or 4 years. The advantage in comparisson with the other Roman airports is that this new airport will have a rail connection with Rome.
The development and management will be done by Aeroporti di Roma, wich also manages the airports Fiumicino and Ciampino. Especially Ciampino airport is growing out of its bounds.
Maybe it could become a new Ryanair base/destination?

Viterbo
Viterbo would be much less handy for the traveller going to Roma.
Ciampino (a Ryanair base) as well as Fiumicino, are very near the city and can be reached easily.
Fiumicino : an express train, rather expensive or the suburban train.
Ciampino : direct coach (Terravision or other) to Termini - or bus to Ciampino station + train to Termini - or bus to Agnanina metro station + metro. Depending on trafic, it takes some 45 to 60 minutes.
Viterbo is a city north-east of Rome, some 65 km away. There is a regional train, it takes at present between 1h30 and 1h50 from Viterbo to Roma ...
There is already an airport at Viterbo (LIRV), owned by the Aeronautica Militare Italiana, with an aeroclub :
and three (!) runways :
04C/22C 1300x50m, grass
04L/22R 1000x25m, asphalt
04R/22L 590x34m, asphalt
(the CIA runway is 2200m long)
Obviously, there is need for a new or at least much lenghtened runway...
There is much pressure from environmentalists at CIA to limit the movements there or even throw out the LCC !
But I don't think Ryanair and the other CIA customers would be happy to move to Viterbo - too far away from Rome center.
Not all problems are resolved and some ask a few questions, for instance :
http://www.ilgiornale.it/a.pic1?ID=223565
The present Italian government is not very strong, and could be removed sooner than expected; if the next government is less leftist, it could well make another choice.

Re: Destinations.
Of the options listed above. the only ones that were considered was Porto. but when MOL (asshole) went to Porto he was involved in an argument with the Managing director of porto airport and then MOL pulled out. The lastest news regarding bases are: Santander, Santiago, Reus (opens at the end of the yearish), and couple more in southern spain. Mark my words, there will be no bases in Eastern Europe. No one would want to live there not even the native people. Trust me, i work for ryanair.
