ORK : Cork (Ireland)
Cork is a beautiful town on the south coast of Ireland, some 150 miles south-west of Dublin.
Ryanair flies there from Dublin, Prestwick, Liverpool, East Midlands, Stansted, Gatwick and Carcassonne (april 2008 timetables).

2 runways :
- longest and used by FR : 17/35 (2133 m)
- another (used ia by Aer Arann ATR) : 07/25 (1310 m)
The terminal is new and rather large.
Arrivals are on the ground level.
A "Skylink" bus service to Cork is available (yellow mini buses, 5 euros single, 8 euros return; tickets sold on board); it brings you in the center of Cork, in front of the tourism office, or to other points and near the main hotels; about 15 min from the airport to the tourism office, about 30 min the other way.
That service is (november 2010) "temporarily suspended".
The only link to downtown Cork is now the "Bus Eireann" service, to the Cork Bus Station, with many intermediate stops. Tickets sold at the vending machine or on board.
Departure hall is on the first floor - no lack of space here either !
A large skyshop with the usual goods on sale; good view on the whole apron.
Seen : Aer Arann (now Aer Lingus Regional), Aer Lingus, Jet2 and of course Ryanair.

Re: ORK : Cork (Ireland)
The construction of this new terminal building was supposed to be finished before the beginning of 2005 (Cork was the 2005 European capital of culture) but unfortunately the works were only ended in the mid of 2006.
Airport to city centre by taxi can vary from €15 to €20. Taxi drivers are very nice.
