TSF - Venice Treviso "Antonio Canova" - Italy
For it's "Venice (Treviso)" - in fact, it's near the city of Treviso, some 30 km from Venice center - whose own airport, "Marco Polo" is nearer.
TSF was called "Sant'Angelo", and is now "Canova" since the new terminal was built.
Website :
http://www.trevisoairport.it/tsf/index.jsp?m=01
Runway :
- 07/25 Cat I
- 2400 x 45 m
In case of fog, which is not an unknown occurence, flights are diverted to either Venice Marco Polo, Trieste or Brescia.
Arrival is on the ground floor. Landside, there is a bar, and the desk where to buy the bus tickets to Venice (also the "vaporetto" tickets) - and those for the Treviso city buses. Also the tourism information desk.
Departure is on the upper level, with the check-in desks and the security control. There is a small shop - tabacchi, a few newspapers, magazines and souvenirs.
Airside, another bar, and a few shops. Good view on the whole apron. Comfortable seats !
When you exit the security zone, the gates 1 to 4 (flights to non-Schengen) and the passport control are at the left; gates 5 to 8 at the right.
It was very cramped at these gates, but they have recently build an extension and there is now a reasonable room for all !
Bus Airport - Treviso city :
- To Treviso : the bus stop is about 50 m to the right when exiting from the terminal; it's bus 6, which stops at the railway station and goes on through the town.
From the airport to the station, it takes some 15 minutes if the traffic is normal; more, as usual, at the rush hours.
Buy your ticket at the airport on the arrival level, at the ad hoc desk (1 euro) or on the bus (2 euros)
- To the airport : same stop near the station - buy a ticket at the tabacchi of the station - it takes some 10 minutes more than the other way.

Bus Airport - Venice :
- the coaches to Venice wait just in front of the terminal, some of them stop at Mestre railway station (inquire). Buy the tickets in the arrival hall.
- At Venice, the stop is on Piazzale Roma, across the canal from the railway station.
Price (april 2013) is 7 euros single, 13 euros return (valid 7 days). It can take about 1 hour, sometimes more, according to road traffic.

Diversion to Trieste (TRS)
It is not unusual to have fog at Treviso, and there is no ILS cat III, which means that the flight is diverted, often to Trieste / Ronchi dei Legionari ... There is then a coach transfer organized to Treviso airport, but : diversion + waiting for the coach to arrive + 1h30 on the road means that you'll arrive at TSF some 3 hours late ...
From an arriving
Arrival gate is on the right, departure gates on the left :
Arrival hall, landside - at the rear, the queue at the tickets booth :
Bus tickets to be bought here :
Or here (claims to be faster) :
The terminal :
The check-in desks, on the upper level :
The waiting hall :
From there, a good view on the runway and the apron :
