Due to the recent storm damage at faro airport, the ususal arrival procedure is not in practice.
Once you have collected your bags you will go to exit p6 and then transferred by coach to a make shift arrivals lounge- ( A Big White Tent).
The airport authorities
have a manned station where all passengers need to confirm their transfers and then you will be partnered with your driver.
Unfortunately this was a slow process and in our case it took us 1hr and 20 minutes to board our coach.
It may be a inconvenience but under the circumstances it was nobodys fault.
I only type this to warn you in advance.
Our departure checkin run as normal.
But We departed back to Manchester from Gate B54.
!!Beware if using the escalator down to the gate!! (Use the stairs if possible)
Passengers on the escalator were met by a solid line of passengers blocking their exit... there were some passengers falling over each other.. luckily nobody was hurt..
some airport staff are useless at planning a simple procedure.
