Confirmation Email Problems.... Empty Confirmation Email Problems....

Hi there,

I have booked flights with Ryanair many times and never had a problem. Until tonight...

My friend is coming to visit me in Sweden and wanted me to book a flight for him as he is basically crap with computers and the internet. I went to book the flight and it said 'Card Declined' then I tried again and it said 'Duplicate Payment - our records show you may have a payment waiting and you can not make a purchase with the same card in the space of 60 minutes'.

My mate then told me I that the email address to use for his confirmation email should be hisname@yahoo.co.uk and not hisname@yahoo.com (which I already used). So I was wondering if this is why the payment was declined/payment waiting? (because the wrong email add was entered).

He is going to call Ryanair and his credit card company tomorrow to check, but I thought it was weird that when I booked the flights the first time it was declined and the second time it said duplicate payment.

Any ideas if this is due to the wrong email address being entered? (by the way all credit card details were correct).

DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THIS.......... a declined card payment "SHOULD NOT" be the result of an incorrect email address. The card company check's "billing address" to the number, expiry date and CVV number and if they all match, it SHOULD be fine.

Check, with the card company before ringing Ryanair's premium rate phone number!

Just be careful, put limit on the card. Website crashed few times and I was billed for 2 tickets not knowing it. And there is no refund.

I 've had once the same note: "duplicate payment"

but the first payment was declined.

Nothing is charged, it is a bug on the website I think


Limit on the card is the best, or use visa electron or entropay (GBP).

i got the same problem. first i got a declined report, in second try i got success but i have not received any email. I think my email address was incorrectly intered. if so, how can i get my ticket information. i tried several times to get my flight information , but there has been a notice saying "information do not match with our record".
i don not access to my bank. and i do not know what happened exactly. i do not think people over phone could be of help to me. what you suggest.

go to Ryanair.com and click on manage my booking

Maybe you typed wrong your email adress when booking.

Try all the e-mail adresses that look like yours?

no this is the only way. If nothing works, the flight is not booked I think, then maybe buy another flight or contact your bank?

Or call Ryanair!
