Air travel taxation
After Great Britain and the Netherlands it is now the Irish Government imposing a tax on air travel. From 30th March 2009 onwards they are charging every passenger departing an Irish airport 10€ tax! This is outrageous!!!
The Shannon base is at risk and routes from Cork, Kerry and Knock will probably dip into unprofitability. At these times of mad taxation we can only hope that at least the oil price remains as low as 75 USD a barrel or even lower!
P.S.: The Belgian Government is also seriously planning a tax on air travel! Where is this crap leading to???
