It was FR4102 suffered a multiple bird-strike at landing - no casualty amongst the 166 pax and 6 crew - first RYR statement :

Seems the left leg collapsed; Ciampino is closed until the runway is cleared, hope to reopen around 1600.

Aircraft still on the CIA runway this tuesday morning 11 november - the damaged landing gear hinders the moving - the airport is now expected to reopen at 1600 GMT :

Does anyone know but will this aircraft ever take to the skies again. After an incident like this and the contact of the wing with the ground, is the integrity of the aircraft now lost for ever?

By the way here is a rare recent photo of birds inside a Ruinair jet engine ..... Laughing

Pictures here show :
- abrasion damage to the underside of the rear fuselage
- upper surface left wing damage
- left-hand main landing gear buckled

(These Italian birds were much less amusing than those on the calendar ! Perhaps trained by spanish feminist to attack MOL ?)
