BRI: Bari International Airport (Italy)

Updated after my first visit there, on July 1st, 2010

Bari is on the Adriatic coast, in Apulia (southern Italy), on the same latitude as Napoli.
The airport lies near Palese, some 10 km west of Bari.
The people of the "Mezzogiorno" are, as a rule, less hurried than in the North; they speak slower, and the Barese lenghten the "a" : Bàààri ...
Bari is now a Ryanair base - 18 destinations.
The terminal is new, modern, pleasant. Arrivals are on the ground level, Departures at the above level.

Transport :
two lines of buses :
- bus n° 16 : airport (departure level) to Bari railway station in 40-45 minutes (many stops), 0,85 euro
- bus "Tempesta" : airport (departure on the arrival level, on the right - arrival on the departure level ) to Bari railway station, no intermediate stop, 30 minutes, 4,15 euros
