Air traffic
Hey guys, my friend stumbled upon a website which you can tune into some ATC. I have heard quite a few FR calls on the Shannon frequency. Here is the webby:

Re: Air traffic
I don't know if it's the same in all Europe, but other forum discussion finalized that it's legal to hear everything on those frequencies. Using it to have some radio connection is illegal.
About security in UK, I remember some user have written it's raport about DUB-BHX flight. He's written that in Birmingham there is some aviatioin shop with live ATC streaming. So if it's provided by private units on the airport itself, it must be legal :-)
