Fleet Database
Hi all,
I am playing around with PHP and MYSQL and need a project to do this with, so I thought of doing a boeing 737 database, but as you guys and girls probably know there are around 6500 of them!
Seeing as my last flight and my next flight is with Ryanair I have choosen them to base the Database on.
Now then setting up the website wont be too hard, it getting the data together and how to do it all, by that I mean - do I base it on the current fleet or all of the aircraft the company has owned? my thoughts are all of the aircraft, certainally all of the 737-8AS series
I certainally hope you guys will be able to give me some ideas on what you would like to see in the database etc?

Re: Fleet Database
It would certainly be most interesting to have a database about the aircraft that have sported the "Ryanair" logo.
Before the 737, they have used Bandeirante, HS 748, ATR 42, BAC 1-11 - there is a history on the Ryanair web site :
http://www.ryanair.com/en/about
As for the 737, there are a lot of them ! (some of them -300).
The database should include, in my view :
- c/n
- registration
- previous owners if any
- date of delivery to FR
- known incidents or accidents
- particularity : name, text, publicity, ...
- for those no longer with FR : fate ( accident, dismantled, sold to whom, and history after).
- pictures or links to pictures of all the c/s of each aircraft

Re: Fleet Database
Hi,
Thats pretty much what I am planning, however at first I am going to look at the current 737-8as fleet as the older aircraft will take some serious research!
I was thinking of also adding any advisaries from the boeing site.
along with this if someone could send me some photos I can start having a play with the database hopefully this weekend
