Also, since ryanair introduced new routes from vilnius in lithuania , according to news air baltic has made the decision to cancel routes into dublin, London and other destinations that compete with ryanair and whizzair.

Ryanair is operating 266 aircrafts, but that one was the 300th delivered wich means already 34 have been sold

Of course, I was referring to wikipedia's own page which is obviously referring to the fleet size in whole including the current and retired fleet of 737-800's.

I suppose in order to fund for new aircraft and keep the fleet as young and reliable as possible it needs to retire/sell 2 738's in order to purchase 1 new aircraft.
It avoids the need to lease or borrow money from lenders.
