Visa Electron news

Wasn't sure on the most appropriate place to put this post so if an administrator can think of a more appropriate place then please feel free to move it. Anyway, I've just seen a story on CEEFAX about some major banks and financial institutions stopping the issue of Visa Electron cards next year. (p 118). So I'd just like to suggest to any ryanair frequent flyer who doesn't currently have one to apply for one asap before others stop issuing them too. Halifax and HBOS say they'll continue offering them but Abbey and Travelex (whoever they are ) are stopping them.
