Smoking at Ryanair airports

An interesting question for some of us, and a horrible questions for others, but...

Who knows at which Ryanair airports smoking is allowed BEHIND security control?

Barcelona-Girona and Milan-Bergamo both have a smoking terrace.
Charleroi is smoke free.

Most airports do AFAIK. I know for definite that Dublin does. It's quite strange when you hear people asking where the smoking area is

I quit smoking 2 years ago so have not paid much attention really but i do know there are areas to smoke either outside terrace or designated areas at Lanzarote, Prestwick , Manchester, Malaga ,Alicante, Bristol, not been here for a couple of years but a allocated room was set up at East Midlands.

I've been to Dublin many times and thought smoke noooo...then realised there's a area on the 2nd floor near the restuarant facing Burger King

I know its a little off topic but this was funny-

We were on a early morning flight from Liverpool to Arrecife(Lanzarote) , well into the flight the food and drinks were being served, then the duty free all quiet and pleasant nice and relaxed ... no turbulence great,...the typical noises cabin crew call Buttons being pressed.... When suddenly I heard a bit of a comotion from the rear of the plane .... A passenger arguing with a member of the crew, "well you sold me these smoke less cigarettes and now your telling me i cannot light one up" I was not the only one laughing others had heard the same.. but he was very angry- A refund was not possible he had opened the packaging ... I am sure this is not the first time this has happened .

Maybe he complained to MOL and he is introducing smoking on a plane again,

It's a bit cold can you please put that cigarette out and close those windows

Are they not allowed to light them up during the flight???? I thought, that's what they are for???

Not at Carcassonne airport. It's not allowed behind security control.

At Madrid airport there are smoking areas.

It is not allowed to smoke the smokeless cigarettes they sell on board?

You don't light the smokeless cigarette. You just inhale it

Was there in January as far as I (smoker) could see the the smoking booths are gone in Madrid. And probably all over Spain. Spain brought in very strict anti-smoking law on 2nd January

Maybe they are gone now, I went there in 2007 and 2008. The casino of Barcelona was still a smoking area last november, but now it's finished.
But even in Paris CDG airport (terminal 2G), there is a smoking room.

There's nice open air terrace at Fuerteventura. So you can have a smoke or simply catch last rays of sun minutes before departure. Priceless during wintertime when you going back to cold hometown

At Bergamo :
- landside : to smoke, you have to go outside, on the pavement.
- airside : there is a smoking area, roofless

I think you can smoke on the terrace upstairs at Dusseldorf Weeze and Skavsta has those self contained smoking huts.

Faro have an indoor ventilated smoking room in the departure lounge.

Dusseldorf have some outdoor terraces upstairs, and there are plenty of cigarette butts outside the terminal which supports this.
Not sure they allow smoking in the terrace though, franfurt Hahn have something similar.

Bari have an indoor ventilated smoking room in the departure lounge.

There was a great open air terrace joining the bar at , Gran Canaria, LPA. ( Also caan't remember if it was after security or not).

Was there Nov-Dec 2010, not sure if it's still there since changes to smoking law in Spain since 2 Jan 2011.

There are three airside smoking booth at Stockholm Skavsta (NYO) :

I don't remember a smoking area in CIA (Rome Ciampino) and CAG (Cagliari) airports

Venice Marco Polo airport is at the moment (end 2011) the substitute for Treviso airport.
There is a smoking lounge on the top floor airside :

There's also a smoking area behind the security at Maastricht. Don't have a photo sorry!

Airport Brno-Tuøany (BRQ) Smoke cabin

Its like they have almost put smokers on show or in some king of art exhibit (This piece is called- the Germinator) The government hope the embarrassment of having to enter this non arriving bus stop will deter smokers from smoking it just may work.
