Pilot Information: http://www.kerryairport.ie/pilot_information.html

Flight Timetable: http://www.kerryairport.ie/timetable.html

Ryanair Destinations: London STN/LTN, Dublin and Frankfurt Hahn (year round) and Faro/Alicante (summer months).

Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerry_Airport

Local Transport: For public transport the best form is with Bus Eireann (www.buseireann.ie) where you will find a full timetable for services from Kerry Airport (better known locally as 'Farranfore Airport') and discounted web fares (just print out confirmation email). The airport is located on the Killarney/Limerick road about 2km from Farranfore Village. Buses on the Killarney/Limerick route are typically every 2 hours, you can also connect to Tralee/West Kerry by changing at Farranfore Village.

There is a train station at Farranfore Village with services every 2 hours on the Tralee/Dublin line (change at Mallow for Cork and Dublin on most services). However, the bus service is the quickest and most direct for all local destinations, and substantially cheaper than the train. There is also a taxi rank with fares for Tralee and Killarney typically at around €30+.

Local Information: Kerry is the tourism capital of Ireland (http://www.discoverireland.ie/Places-To-Go/Visit-Kerry) with Killarney and the Ring of Kerry seen as the jewels in the crown. Tralee is the County capital and also the location of the County Museum.

If you are visiting Ireland using Ryanair flights from either London or Frankfurt Hahn you will find Kerry Airport as a handy location to either begin or end your visit if you are also using another airport like Dublin. Or of course for a short specific visit to Kerry on a round trip.

If anyone is looking for assistance with local information send me an email to patm.tralee@gmail.com and I will be as helpful as I can. Cheers! jocolor

PS The terminal building is really small but more than adequate as you are in and out in no time. There is a large cafe with a bar in the terminal, considering the overall scale of the terminal. Prices are reasonable and are not a total rip off compared to most airports. Handy if you are waiting for your flight or a bus.
