Ryanair Announces New Route From Knock to Liverpool
SEATS FOR ONLY €12.99* TO CELEBRATE

Ryanair, Ireland’s national airline, today (Thursday, 19th June 2008) announced a new daily route from Ireland West Knock Airport to Liverpool – commencing on 27th October 2008.
Annette Kearney, Marketing and Route Development Manager at Ireland West Airport Knock said:

“The addition of this direct daily route from Liverpool to Ireland West Knock with Ryanair is another significant step in our Airport’s growth as we continue to provide an ever-widening choice of great value, direct and convenient jet flights to our customers both in the UK and in Ireland. This new route further expands our network of scheduled jet flight services from key UK destinations to the West and North West of Ireland . We look forward to welcoming visitors from Britain’s North West and I’m sure the Liverpool region will equally benefit from a boost of Irish leisure and business travelers, especially from the thousands of Liverpool FC and Everton supporters in our catchments!”
Speaking today, Ryanair’s Bridget Dowling said:
“Ryanair is committed to delivering the lowest fares guaranteed, and this new route to Liverpool means that passengers will have an additional link to the UK from the West of Ireland. The new service will operate on a daily basis from 27th October and will bring an additional 100,000 passengers p.a. through the airport. We’re confident that the new route to Liverpool will prove just as successful as our existing routes to Bristol, East Midlands, London (Luton) and London (Stansted).
“Ryanair is the only airline to guarantee no fuel surcharges, and to celebrate, is offering one-way seats to Liverpool from only €12.99*. Passengers should log on to www.ryanair.com today as seats to Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008 will be snapped up”.
*includes taxes and charges.

This is the official press-announcement:

Ryanair Launches New Routes & New Low Fares

NEW ROUTES FROM LIVERPOOL, EAST MIDLANDS & STANSTED

6 MILLION OCT & NOV SEATS FROM JUST £10* EACH

Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, today (Wed, 3rd September) announced the launch of a three routes from the UK which will connect Liverpool and East Midlands with Paris (Beauvais) and London Stansted with Agadir in Morocco.

Ryanair will operate daily services to Paris (Beauvais) from Liverpool from 3rd November and East Midlands from 28th October while Ryanair’s London Stansted service will offer a twice weekly return service to Agadir.

To celebrate the launch of the new routes, Ryanair intensified its campaign against high airfares as it released 6 MILLION seats for travel in October and November from just £10 one way (incl taxes and charges). These tickets can be booked only on www.ryanair.com for 5 days from Wednesday3rd to Sunday 7th of September.

Seats on the new Liverpool and East Midlands service can now be snapped up for just £10 one way (incl taxes and charges) while fares from London Stansted to Agadir begin from just £26.99 one way (incl taxes and charges).

Speaking today, Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara, said:

“These new routes from Liverpool, East Midlands and Stansted will bring Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and the promise of no fuel surcharge ever, to those planning a break in the beautiful city of Paris and exciting Agadir. Ryanair continues to reduce fares this winter and we are now extending our Winter Sale to November. Passengers hoping to travel on new routes to Paris, and a host of other routes from the UK, can take advantage of these 6 million seats from just £10 for travel in October and November. Only Ryanair guarantees the lowest fares and no fuel surcharge.

“Ryanair has seen a huge response to our Winter Seat Sale and advises all passengers to book these £10 seats directly on Ryanair.com and avoid screenscraper, ticket-tout, websites who add on hidden mark-ups of between 200% to 300% on top of Ryanair’s ticket prices.

“This 6 million seat sale in October and November proves that Ryanair will continue to replace the era of low fares air travel with a new period of lowest ever airfares. Ryanair guarantees that no one will beat our fares so we urge passengers to book these £10 seats for October and November on www.ryanair.com before midnight on Sunday.”

Ryanair announces 6th Aircraft, 2 new routes

AND 26 MORE WEEKLY FLIGHTS FROM SHANNON
1 MILLION FREE* SEATS!!

Ryanair, Ireland’s favourite airline, announced today (Thursday, 25th September 2008) that it will launch 2 new routes and 26 more weekly flights from Shannon Airport from November. Ryanair will base a 6th aircraft in Shannon which will allow it to launch 2 new routes to Frankfurt-Hahn and Newcastle and 26 more weekly frequencies to destinations like Bristol, Edinburgh and Paris. This 6th aircraft, which is a further $70M investment by Ryanair in Shannon, will generate over 100 more jobs at the airport this winter.

Speaking in Shannon today, Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary said:

“There’s a double celebration at Shannon Airport this week. We’re celebrating the arrival of a 6th based aircraft and 2 new routes which go on sale today. With 35 low fare Ryanair routes from Shannon, the people of the mid west region can buy the guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges all over the UK and Europe. These 26 new weekly flights will bring more than 5,000 added passengers each week to Shannon airport. To accommodate these new routes and increased frequencies we will stop flying the Shannon-East Midland route and reduce frequencies on the Shannon-Luton route from 31st of October.

“To celebrate this growth at Shannon, Ryanair is offering 1 MILLION free* seats on its 773 routes across Europe for travel from October to the 15th November. This special offer must end today midnight so we advise passengers to book their free seats today directly on www.ryanair.com”.

I've read on polish board, that today (thursday) new route on Poznañ Airport will be anounce. www.theairdb.com said, that it might be Reus. It is described as "Available for short time". Does anybody knows what might it means? It's strange route as Poznan has Girona connection already...
Other information is, that Ryanair has cancelled many flights to Poland. As I've read at some polish aviation portal, this routes are no longer available at summer schedule:
£ódz - East Midlands, Liverpool, Shannon & Sztokholm (Skavsta);
Gdañsk - Bristol, Brussel (Charleroi) & Liverpool;
Katowice - Bristol;
Poznañ - East Midlands;
Szczecin - Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool & London (Luton);

It is Reus-Poznan! Available for short time means that this is a summer route and will only be operated from April until October (summer schedule).

By the way, the Ryanair route map has been updated and you can now see orange routes (summer routes), blue routes (winter routes), red routes (routes for special events) and grey routes (all year round operated).

Thanks King, I just wanted to know :-)
Friends from Poznañ are very happy, bacause they have 3 weekly flights to Girona and Reus now as well. We have Girona and Alicante, but things would look better if Girona was 3 times weekly as well Wink

About colours, some of them makes no sense for me. For example WRO-Alicante is described as all-year but most of us think it is some kind of charter-mix connection. Instead of that we have WRO-HHN as summer route which is taking a place more than one year now. And other thing - have a look on Fuernaventura - this island will be off in few days and how are those flights described? All year Wink Chaotic little bit...
