On the web I found an interesting article about Larnaca. The author says that Ryanair want to use Cyprus for possible flights to Israel and the Middle East.

I heard some rumours about a new base at Palma de Mallorca Airport, which should be announced next week.

Also rumours about a new base in Gran Canaria/Las Palmas (or somewhere else in the Canary Islands) and Copenhagen.

Larnaca is currently showing up as a destination to/from Charleroi.

Is this the start of the expansion into the western Med/Middle east that apparently is the long-anticipated Ryanair strategy?

Another nice rumour. According to this article, Ryanair might be flying to and from Georgia from 2011. (The might call it Moscow-East or so.)

An old rumour is coming back....new base in Wroclaw with new routes to Spain, France, Sweden, Italy and Morocco... this rumour was published one year ago....but anymore news...

Michael O'Leary in a recent interview to the Financial Times : Ryanair plan to buy 300 new airplanes; 200 of them from Boeing, the other 100 could be Boeing or Airbus ...

Ryanair is, along with WizzAir and Cityjet, negotiating with Groningen Airport (Netherlands) about new routes starting from 2011, after the runway extension is complete.

Ryanair used to fly to Groningen from London Stansted between May 2003 and April 2004, with 737-300s and BAe146s.

How do you know now that Ryanair and Wizzair negotiate with Groningen? Where do you get this information from.

... claims to have just signed a deal with a European government to open four bases in that country. But he won’t say which one.
“Ah, stop. I’m not going to alert my competition to where I’m opening bases.”

Normally it's in Poland: Gdansk (GDN) , Katowice (KTW) , Krakow (KRK) and Wroclaw (WRO)

Michael O'Leary has announced that Ryanair will take legal action against Belgocontrol (Belgian ATC) after its last wildcat strike las week :

So far in 2010, Ryanair has been forced to cancel 1,400 flights and delay over 12,000 other flights, disrupting over 2.5m passengers, as a direct result of Belgian, French and Spanish ATC strikes and work to rules. Under EU261 regulations airlines suffer the costs of these disruptions without any recourse against those unions calling strikes or the EU Govts who own the ATCs and repeatedly allow European airspace to be closed. Ryanair will now take legal action against Belgocontrol following the wildcat strikes in Belgium last Tuesday, which caused the cancelation of over 90 Ryanair flights, disrupting over 15,000 passengers.

things change daily with Ryanair..which can make advanced bookings a little unstable at times, but for what i pay i will take the risk.

I flew frequently to germany from the uk and onto italy.. i hope they keep at least hann running.
