Defamatory messages abour RYR
The aviation site "Aviation Herald" has been asked by Ryanair to cancel defamatory comments posted by (anonymous) correspondents about an incident involving a Ryanair aircraft at Memmingen. The site has complied.
No, one is not allowed to write any thing about any one (not even about FR) on a website. The author as well as the responsible of the website may be prosecuted - and rightly so.
It's defamatory comments that are forbidden - not critics ar adverse comments, of course.
To defame : to harm the reputation by libel of slander
Libel : a statement published without just cause and tending to expose another to public contempt
Slander : the utterance of false charges or misrepresentations which defame and damage another's reputation

Re: Defamatory messages abour RYR
Thanks.
I would have thought the opinions were seen as just that- opinions, i doubt any posts are made by professional people to be taken serious enough to damage any airlines creditability... wow almost every other forum on the www should be closed.
