Error at Cagliari.

Yesterday, the Ryanair flight from Girona has landed on a Cagliari taxiway which had been used as the runway until three days before :

No damage to anybody or anything.

Things like that happen from time to time. The captain probably used to fly to Cagliari every now and then and didn't know or wasn't advised that the runway situation had changed back to using the normal runway again. No heavy incident but not too good for the image of the airport either...

That said, a NOTAM was released, and assuming Ryanair use up-to-date plates, it's a bit of a faux-pas that it's happened!

........an absolutely awful response by KoC, I'd say ! I would suggest that jqjjq is on the right track but we should wait until we hear something from official investigators before making further comments. JK

It happens. I've heard about some asian pilots like to taking off on a taxi, landing wherever and doing some strange things because of their poor english Even few days ago Turkish has landed at military airport in Georgia (correct me if I've mistaken the country) instead of civil one

The main thing is that no one got hurt, a bonus is that the aircraft is undamaged.
