The best way for reach the center of Cagliari (a distance of 7 km about) is take a bus out of , every 15/30 min, costs only 2 euros.



Taxies are available out of the Arrivals area...in alternative it's possible to rent a car.
Buses [...not all] and trains [...only from Cagliari city] are available to Olbia, Sassari, Nuoro and Oristano.

Infos
The airport of Cagliari Elmas has been entitled to Mario Mameli and was opened the 3rd of May 1937.
It's situated near the village of Elmas, at six kilometres away from the pond, famous for its rose flamingos on Santa Gilla.
Cagliari Elmas is the biggest airport of the island and the most important busy line. It was the 2nd airport, in 2008, for number of flights in Italy.

Purtroppo il bus che collega l'aeroporto a Cagliari che e' vicinissimo e impiega 10 minuti costa la bellezza di 4 EURO.A Bari 12 km e 40 minuti di tempo solo 0.85 centesimi.

There are now two ways of going to Cagliari :

By bus  :
- bus stop in front of the terminal, arrival level, between doors A and B.
- a bus every half hour, it takes around 10 minutes to the bus station downtown (next to the railway station)
- ticket price is 4 euros one way, 5 euros if bought onboard.

By train :
- the train station (Elmas) is a 8-10 minutes walk from the terminal
- two or three trains per hour, 7 minutes to the Cagliari railway station
- ticket price is 1,25 euros one way
