Which flight has the lowest number? Empty Which flight has the lowest number?

Post by bluewaves Thu 19 Aug 2010 - 22:06

I thought that didn't exist flights with less than 3 digits but, visiting the flight information page, i saw this flight:

Flight FR 24 06:35 Depart 09:00 Arrive from Dublin to Paris Beauvais

is this the lowest flight number, or there exists someone even lower? Very Happy

As far as I know, all FR flights numbers have at least two digits.

DUB-BVA and back in the 20
STN-TRF and back in the 30
DUB-CRL-DUB in the 40
STN-NYO-STN in the 50
PIK-BVA-PIK in the 60
STN-CCF-STN in the 70

Even numbers, it seems, are for flights to the east, uneven numbers for flights to the west.
For instance :
DUB-CRL is FR42, CRL-DUB is FR43
PIK-BVA is FR64, BVA-PIK FR65

I guess bluewaves was speaking of FR flight numbers.
There are a lot of "flight 1" in other companies, and to begin with : AA1, American Airlines JFK-LAX (New York Kennedy to Los Angeles).

atoutprix - you are dead right - of course he was ! - that was my point. Keep up the good work - it will be interesting to see if the current top/bottom numbers change with new routes/bases etc. JK

When flying between KRK and LBA you can generally can get Emirates 1 flying near which is the A380, seen it personally through the window.

Back on topic. There is a flight number of 2468. Thats STN-LCJ
1234 = HHN-PSA

All STN-DUB are all in the 200's. Like 202, 297 etc.
