Can anyone advise why it is no longer possible to book a flight between DUB-BRE after March 2009??? The timetable suggests no flights after this time! Can this be true??

Bremen Ryanair Ground staff confirmed cancellation but were surprised as it's one of their busiest routes. Heard a passenger mention it's to do with landing fees argument in Dublin. It's not like people in Bremen/Hannover will travel all the way to Lubeck to catch a Ryanair flight when Aer Lingus fly direct from Hamburg. Shame! There were a lot of us using this service.

Dublin-Bremen 2009 Empty Ryanair Cancels Dublin-Bremen

Post by Marsipul Thu 9 Apr 2009 - 0:02

just heard about the cancellation - I always booked like a week or two in advance - I used the service 15 times since they stared and even got groups from Dublin to Oldenburg for the Kramermarkt (North German October Fest). I have a business (www.mueggenkrug.de) and this will suffer..really can't understand..Micheal - you are missing the point !

I am quite sure that when a route gets cancelled it was due to load factors, but a shame when it is a route you need and use!

I would agree in most cases, but with Dublin routes it's the 10€ travel tax that's causing so many route cancellations at the moment. A shame, but maybe the Irish Government will notice some day that this is going heavily the wrong way. I hope they don't wait so long that Aer Lingus will go bankrupt. The shamrocks are losing nearly 500'000€ per day at the moment! Shocked
