Sorry to correct you, but the 100th new 737-800 for Ryanair was EI-DLH.
The real reason for the colour scheme of EI-DCL is the following. It was the 800th Boeing 737-800 to be built. And luckily Ryanair got it.

Yesterday, I had my first flight on the "special livery" EI-DCL, on a CRL-ROM/CIA :
At Charleroi, boarding for the 0630 departure :
At Ciampino :
Unfortunately, EI-DCL has no more its original nose, but an all-white one :

Re: Ryanair Pictures!
I found a picture of DCL from July 2008 - it had the white nose cone then as well. Did it have a blue one before that at some point?

Re: Ryanair Pictures!
Oh yes, so it did! Thanks for that. I saw it in STN a couple of times this week. I'll ask and see if they're going to give it a proper paint job at some point - doubt it though...

Re: Ryanair Pictures!
The DCL still has "bandage" over its nose. Saw it in PMI last monday and was surprised the company didn't change the paintings since unless June'09 - the time I saw DCL with white nose for the first time. In March'09 I flown this plane on my WRO-NYO route and as far as I remember the nose was ok.

Re: Ryanair Pictures!
It definitely had the white nose the first time I was on it in July 2008... I'll try and remember to ask the engineers if the blue nose is coming back next time I'm in work...

Re: Ryanair Pictures!
Yes everytime I have landed and taken off from CRL was on ILS R25 No ILS on 7 so VFR practice there probably why they closed the airport a few days ago the ILS runway was not available due to wind direction and fog.

Re: Ryanair Pictures!
Yes, it was on last wednesday : take off in the morning was from 07.
Later, CRL was closed during the day, because of fog; but the wind changed direction, and landing in the evening was on runway 25.
